Yet another purchased currency has entered the hotel, and this one is certain to please you!
In the past, Habbo has been known to increase the buying power of your cash by introducing a second, identical currency earned through buying normal Credits. One currency was named Nuts (which even came with a badge for spending them) and another was called Clouds.
However, previously, the currencies were obtained in a plentiful ratio; every Cedit was matched with a different currency. The Diamonds are a unique twist which are only awarded one for every 5 Credits. Also contrary to the trend is the fact that Diamonds are only utilised in specific furni ranges in place for the event. Specifically, 2 themes under the Jetset banner, which include both new and re-released furni, have been added.
The first of these, appropriately named Diamond Rares, offers new diamond-themed rares (a recoloured Dragon Lamp as its figurehead, costing 75 Credits and 15 Diamonds) and also more classic rares for cheaper prices (which in turn is bringing their value down) together.
The same idea is repeated in the Yacht Parties range; some new items (the more expensive of which are VIP only) and much older beach furni combined in one section.
Another new idea has been tested with Diamonds too: a purchasable voting pass. For avid room builders, the chance to win prizes from public votes is an incentive to go all-out on spending. Now voters have to pay as well, a 1 Credit fee to earn the privilege to vote on their favourite rooms. Some users this is a price unfair to pay for this simple ability.
