Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Habbox News Manager? Then you better start reading…
The Habbox news team felt that it was the News Manager’s turn for an interview! For those who don’t know (you should know), the current News Manager is Arfar and he’s only been News Manager for about 1 month but he is doing a splendid job. Anyway, as mentioned, we decided to give him a interview full of weird, wacky and wonderful questions! We thank him for letting us give him an interview and here are the questions & answers:
Q1) How long have you been working at Habbox (not just as the News Manager – other roles as well.)
Well I first joined Habbox in 2008 and got my first trial later that year at Habbox Help Desk, so that’s 3 years?
Q2) Why did you decide to join the News Department?
Well, when I was applying I wasn’t sure if I was good enough, but I enjoyed writing and always used to do it in my spare time when I was younger. I guess I just thought it would be cool to become a News Reporter and I worked on different websites as a News Reporter, but it wasn’t that enjoyable because the actual community was rubbish (compared to the Habbox community.)
Q3) How have you found your experience at Habbox so far?
So far I have really enjoyed my time at Habbox. I started off just as a fan of Habbox when I was 11/12 years old and then from there, I gradually became interested in Habbox, the community, the forum, all the events – everything really! So, so far it has been great!
Q4) Which of the ‘News categories’ is your favourite (Real Life, Habbo, Interviews, Special Reports or Room reviews.)
I wouldn’t say I have a favourite, I guess my interests changed as I got older. When I was younger, I would absolutely adore reading Habbo News, because I was really into Habbo at the time. But now I wouldn’t say I have a favourite, Real Life can be very interesting sometimes, like seriously interesting stuff!
Q5) Quick! You have suddenly been hired to create the Biography of a celebrity – which celebrity would you choose and why?
Oh god! I don’t know that much about any celebrity I am afraid, but I would probably choose Zoe Lucker because I thought she was absolutely stunning when I was younger, especially when she played an amazing role as Tanya Turner in Footballers Wives! She also recently appeared on Eastenders as Vanessa Gold, but I was a little disappointed because I think I was so used to her playing Tanya in Footballers Wives!
Q6) Which of these would annoy you the most, if you were to spot them in a news article and why;
i. People Capitalising Every Single Word Like This.
ii. A person using the wrong homophone (Homophones are words that sound the same but are spelt different) e.g. They’re is a book over their!
iii. Sentences that last more than 3 lines.
iiii. Overuse, of, “un-necessary punctuation” such as; this!?
Definitely capitalising every single word! There is nothing that annoys me more than reading an article like that, I just get so frustrated!
Q7) If you couldn’t join the News Department, which other department would you join and why?
Well I have been around the block a few times! I have worked in Rare Values, Competitions, Habbox Help Desk and Content (that’s it I think…) so I would definitely pick Competitions, it’s just such an amazing department to work in, I really really enjoyed my time there.
Q8) A member of the news department asks you out on a date… Who is it most likely to be and would you say yes?!
For some reason I think it would be CrazyLemurs (Alex) because he is just so crazy, strange, weird and wonderful!
Q9) If you were born a female, what would you want your name to be?
Probably Tanya or Natasha, they sound quite saucy in my opinion. (He must have got the inspiration for ‘Tanya’ from Footballers Wives).
Q10) Lady GaGa or Justin Bieber! (You cannot say neither or commit suicide.)
Definitely Queen Gaga! Her music is very good and her style is just crazy and cool!
Q11) You wake up tomorrow and suddenly… the internet no longer exists?! What would you do (e.g. cry)?
I would probably kill myself. But in all seriousness I would probably feel very bored and would go and find something else to do!
Q12) If you could create a new, official word… what would it be and give a definition for it!
It would be ‘bongalooze’ and it would simply be an alternative to crazy.
Q13) Finally, sum up your job in 5 words MAXIMUM.
Well I would definitely say it is challenging, creative, limitless, rewarding and at times humorous!
(For all you ‘picky’ people, he did only use 5 describing words. Therefore, he didn’t go over the limit).
Well, there you have it! An exclusive interview with the fabulous News Manager (Arfar.) We hope you found the interview interesting and thoroughly enjoyable – remember, there will always be more interviews arriving soon!
