Habbo – for better or for worse?0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:39 pm

We have all experienced some new changes in Habbo, big or small – at one point or another. But in fact, how many of us actually like the changes that are implemented?

Unquestionably, a fair majority of the Habbo community agree that Habbo is simply not the same any more, particularly the more experienced players. This has always been an issue that was widely discussed but recently, a lot of people have started tweeting Habbo staff on Twitter asking them why they constantly introduce new changes that the community does not like and why can’t Habbo go back to being ‘old school?’

Of course the staff replied with a predictable response, stating that it was for the good of new members. But actually, is it?

I remember first joining Habbo in 2007, it was simple and interesting but now, I feel that if I were to re-register as a new player, I would find it extremely confusing and complex and most probably, I’d be put off.

So the question is, why are Habbo focusing so much on the new players and as it appears, forgetting about the experienced ones? Do they not have a voice any more? Because the players do speak out against changes they do not like but most of the time, Habbo have sat back and done nothing. Do they not realise that more players are being lost because Habbo simply isn’t what it used to be, everything is different. The entertainment and interest of the game was its simplicity.

Of course, it is understandable that the game might sometimes need a modern touch, but it seems that Habbo have gone too far with their ideas, they’ve almost thought about it too hard but the most mind boggling of all, is when the community are against a certain change or addition, yet Habbo ignore it… if they were going to ignore it, then why ask for our opinion on it? Why ask what new changes we would like to see if you don’t introduce the things we want and instead, introduce something the community does not like? Do they find it hard to accept that what they’ve done isn’t liked?

What do you think? Would you like to see Habbo go back to how it used to be or would you prefer it to stay like this, without any other changes?
