Beloved :furni command limited. Why?

There is still much mystery shrouded around the removal of the :furni command in others room. Why would it be removed? It was doing no harm to anyone.

When first introduced the command was a success. It would let you see a list of furniture that are currently in the room. The advantages to this command are great. With the command you could see where the furniture and how many pieces of it are there.

Just recently the use of :furni has been limited. Originally you could use the command in any room. Now it limits you to just rooms you own, or any rooms you have rights in. This new update is a pain to say the least. Not only is it something you have to buy, (comes with VIP), it makes the lives of people who enjoy mazes a hassle. A maze player my need :furni to find a certain piece of furniture to continue on.

Why would Sulake do you this you ask? Here is what Paul LaFontaine tweeted on the subject:

“:furni was changed for misusing it in campaign / branded rooms. Solution might have been too blunt.”
