Habbo has had many public rooms over the years, from the Rooftop Cafe, to Habburgers and the iconic Welcome Lounge, which has been redesigned several times. However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the type of Habbos you find in these rooms. In this article I will give you a brief guide to what personalities and attitudes you can expect to come across whilst exploring these areas!
The Welcome Lounge, which has been around since 2002, is often one of the first rooms new users will visit when they join Habbo. However, it isn’t very welcoming! The Habbos here are generally 18+ users who think they’re gangsters and wear menacing glasses; some of them are quite rude and will even threaten to hack people, although it’s unlikely that they know how to. You will also stumble across many e-couples who sometimes dress the same which is cute, or perhaps sad. Many people simply come to this room to idle and are incredibly boring so if you want to make friends with fun, vibrant people then the Welcome Lounge is to be avoided!
Despite opening just this year, Club NX is the most popular and nooby room on Habbo which constantly gathers 100 players! This youthful room is full of colour and friendly people who love to dance and know how to have a good time. You will be flooded with friend requests as soon as you walk in, and if you follow my How To Dress To Impress guide you are bound to find your perfect match. Many new users come here to make friends and I can see why, but there are some risks lurking about in Club NX…
I was in the room for less than a minute and managed to capture these chat bubbles. It’s essential to avoid these people as they can be quite dangerous and ask you to do things you shouldn’t do! Never add these people because they could be lying about their age and your safety is at risk, so if anyone asks for sexual favours do the right thing and decline their friend request and, if necessary, report the user.
The Hallways may not be as popular as they once were, but there are plenty of people to have fun with! The Hallways are generally where you will find more ‘weird’ users, who dress in strange outfits. However, a lot of intelligent discussion goes on in these rooms and you will also find many international Habbos walking around, so don’t be afraid to say hello! A good game to play in the Hallways is ‘Hide and Seek’ – it’s a classic!
The Picnic Area is a lovely room with lovely people! It’s the perfect room to take your boyfriend or girlfriend on a date or just a nice chat. The room isn’t very popular but there’s plenty of space to play games, climb trees and even flip burgers. The Picnic Area is definitely one of the best public rooms to meet new people!
The Coffee House – my favourite! This room is always filled with customers who love to chat about anything to anyone. There is even a staff room at the back where a lot of crazy things happen, I have even witnessed a live birth in there, as well as several fights. However, it can be hard to find a table to sit and chat because it’s so popular so be quick to get a seat. You will find plenty of couples in here, and perhaps a troll or two, but you can always put them on ignore. There is a huge menu to choose from so why not stop by one day?
What’s your favourite Public Room? Did you meet your best friend in one of them? Do you hate all Public Rooms and prefer to hang out in your own room? Let us know in the comment box below!
