What made you decide to join Habbox?
Habbox was always around for as long as I can remember, back in its glory days, before the market place; Habbox was THE PLACE to be if you wanted to find out how many RD’s or HC’s something was. I was too young back then to properly get involved or appreciated. It wasn’t until around 2010 that I started to get more involved, and in 2011 joining the HxHD department.
I guess it all comes down to the people, as Habbox was always there in my Habbo life. It automatically felt like home, along with the fact that it’s such a lovely community, and a major part of why I am Forum Manager now. This is the longest I’ve stayed at Habbox without leaving since 2011 (It’s been 2 years!)

What are your current role(s) at Habbox, and what is one of your memorable moments from working in one of those roles (or previous roles)?
I am currently Forum Manager and a Guest HabboxLive DJ.
I have a lot of memorable moments to be honest, a lot of them stem from lockdown version v1.0 where I spent 99% of my free time on Habbo and Habbox. As you’re aware, I made a lot of updates to the forum over said time, but it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Myself and Laura broke the forum on a number of occasions ? Sending it into a database error was my favourite, it was all fun and games lol.
I also kept giving myself icons next to my username to promote the new icons in the shop, and then the icon would expire and the forum would automatically demote me to a regular user, meaning I kept having to have the awkward talk with Laura asking her to promote me for the 3rd time this week please.
All in all, my most memorable moments were just applying updates to the forum during the Covid lockdown, and constantly on Zoom with a bunch of Habbox users, including Laura, Tom and Connor!
(Notice how I don’t capitalise Laura’s name – much like her Habbo username, I find it looks weird when it’s capitalised now)
Proofreader: Oooops. Capitalised Laura’s name while editing…too late to go back… 😳

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Free time? What is this you speak of?
Honestly don’t have a lot of free time these days, only the weekends and if we ignore the fact we’re in a lockdown… I normally go and see friends and family to catch up with them, go to the cinema and then out for a meal.
How do you handle criticism?
I like to think I handle it rather well. As long as it’s constructive and not aimed to upset/annoy me or to make yourself look good as a result, then I’d happily take it. In fact, I encourage it. Always looking for new ways to do things and improve on myself in whatever it may be you want to give me feedback on.

What movie can you watch over and over again?
Honestly, none. Even my favourite film ever (Inception) I’ve only watched about 4 or 5 times, but that came out over 10 years ago now! I simply can’t watch a film if I’ve seen it recently, there needs to be a certain amount of time that has passed before I can watch it again. I hate watching films that I remember too much. I’ve even started to re-watch films before and turned it off half way because I remember it too much. The only exception to that is TV shows; I can watch them over and over, but it’s more so mindless TV, such as Friends, or HIMYM etc… I’m not intently watching it, so it’s not as bad.

If you had one day left to live on the Earth, what would you do?
I’m going to be an optimist and assume that this means Elon has selected me to be one of the first to head to Mars, thus making this my last day to live on Earth. So, I would go spend it with friends and family to say my goodbyes and gloat in the fact that I’ll be going to a better place.
Wait hold up, my answer is exactly the same whether it be for my death or heading to Mars… How about that.
What’s your current favourite song and why?
Oooo, a toughy. I think based purely on amount of plays over the last 14 days it’ll have to be “Jake Scott – CWJBHN” (jamiexo note: To all of the people that judge me for listening to Jake Scott 24/7, you can blame Tristan for that).

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
Hopefully retired, sipping on a Pina Colada in my beach house along the coast of Hawaii. Failing that, then I guess in better shape than I am in now. Fully settled into my new home, and hopefully a lady friend in the picture!

What motivates you to work hard?
Money

What is your proudest accomplishment?
Most recently would be passing my HGV Class 1 license, and finally getting onto the property ladder back in 2018. Another recent accomplishment is getting my 2nd mortgage and moving into a 4 bedroomed detached house.

Thank you for reading! Make sure you ask Tristan more about his movie collection, I have never met a person that has watched so many films in his life.
What an amazing guy
Sorry who is this?
