Here is what Laura had to share when we had our interview.

What made you decide to join Habbox?

I signed up in 2009 because I played Habbo with an IRL friend (also called Laura!) who discovered Habbox radio through one of her friends on the hotel! I then got bored a year later and started listening again in summer 2010, then I won a Win A Room competition and joined properly!

What are your current role(s) at Habbox, and what is one of your memorable moments from working in one of those roles (or previous roles)?

I am currently General Manager (Site) and I have pretty much held every other role at Habbox during my time. I think some of the most memorable things are the bits I worked REALLY HARD ON and was proud of, or just good fun events where everyone is just having a good time and is being (mostly) nice. I also remember a lot of really horrible moments which is not fun 🙁

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

What’s free time? lol… I do try to take a *bit* of time to myself but I’m usually just watching trash TV and sitting on Reddit to try and switch off. I like playing games but mostly multiplayer ones, and I live alone so I don’t get to do that any more 🙁

How do you handle criticism?

Badly. Especially when it’s not constructive, and it’s just people saying negative things for the sake of it. I get upset very easily and take things very personally. I’m working on it 😛

What movie can you watch over and over again?

High School Musical series.

If you had one day left to live on the Earth, what would you do?

Spend it with my family, nothing very huge or special but a nice meal, see the dog, say goodbye etc.

What’s your current favourite song and why?

A Casual Affair – Panic at the Disco. Only just rediscovered this song and it’s got a really interesting melody.

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

Honestly, pretty much no different to where I am now. Hopefully at a more senior job IRL, and I kiiinda doubt I’ll still be at Habbox but who knows. I don’t see anything changing in my ‘personal’ life haha.

What motivates you to work hard?

I’ve always been a workaholic. If I keep working then I can distract myself from negative things 😛 Most of my self esteem is based on being productive working, so I end up getting down if I’m *not* working. It’s weird..

What is your proudest accomplishment?

On Habbox – I think probably launching Version 8 of the site last year, because it had been a long time since it was first designed, and I did most of it all myself (from design to coding). 

IRL – I honestly don’t know!! I got nominated for a journalism award once, maybe that?
