I will be starting a segment called “Habbox Staff Interviews”, where I will be posting a Q&A session that I have had with one of our staff members. This will be a great way to learn more about our fellow staff members not only inside of Habbox, but outside as well.

What made you decide to join Habbox?

In all honesty, it was so long ago that I can’t remember! I liked forums in general at the time and this is where I ended up I guess, lucky for you obviously.

What are your current role(s) at Habbox, and what is one of your memorable moments from working in one of those roles (or previous roles)?

I am General Manager (Community) meaning I get to call myself boss and spend my time forcing people to do things. It’s actually very rewarding and I love working with the other GMs (ozad and lawrawrrr) to keep Habbox the best it can be.

One of the most memorable moments I’ve had working here is HxSS 2019 when I was Events/Articles manager, but joined the GMs in helping to do admin for it and it was just so brilliant seeing everyone have such fun!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Well right now all my time is free as I’m on furlough, but aside from Habbox stuff I like cooking, reading, and re-watching all six seasons of Dawson’s Creek. Also obliterating people at Cards Against Humanity.

How do you handle criticism?

Ban everyone and delete their comments so it looks like it never happened. Nah, genuine criticism is always better to have than silence when things aren’t right, so as someone who isn’t an angry teen anymore, I try to take it on board and see what I can do to fix whatever’s up.

What movie can you watch over and over again?

SPACE JAM. Genuinely the best film ever made and anyone who disagrees is wrong.

If you had one day left to live on the Earth, what would you do?

Watch Space Jam… idk tell my friends and family I love them and make sure all my downloads are properly deleted I guess. A day isn’t long!

What’s your current favourite song and why?

Foxy Shazam – Bye Bye Symphony

It’s brilliant musically, but also I find the lyrics really uplifting. It’s all about how it’s possible to get over disappointments and mistakes, which is particularly hard-hitting for me * + * +

Where do you see yourself in the next five years?

I really really don’t know in the slightest, just trying to get through this one first to be honest!

What motivates you to work hard?

With both Hx and IRL stuff, it’s seeing the impact of what I do on those who the work is done for. That’s a terribly written sentence and I apologize profusely but yeah, I guess deep down I’m needy and like to impress when I can.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Err there is some rather dark and personal stuff to answer that one with lol but let’s go with my Hx progression, going from e-rebel who thought he was too cool for school (literally) to someone who I hope is seen as a half decent and capable community leader… but we’ll let the readers decide on that one.
