Jackass won’t be the same after the upsetting news of Ryan Dunns death
Ryan Dunn, the Jackass star who died in a car crash on Monday was said to be over twice the legal alcohol limit when the crash happened. Travelling at speeds of up to 140mph, his Porsche came off the highway in Philadelphia before bursting into flames. Police have said that Dunn, who was 34 did not have any drugs in his system at the time.
His passenger in the car, 30 year old Zachary Hartwell, was also killed. The police toxicology report has said that Dunns blood alcohol reading was 0.196, the legal limit in Philadelphia is 0.08. The crash happed in a suburb of West Goshen, where the speed limit is 55mph.
Ryan Dunn was a star in Jackass which ran from 2000 to 2002 on MTV and also in its three film spin offs. He performed a variety of pranks and stunts, co starring with others like Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and Bam Margera.
A public memorial service is planned for Dunn, although no date has been announced yet. Many tributes have been paid to Dunn, including one from Johnny Knoxville, who described him as his brother. During their gig at Londons Hyde Park on Wednesday, Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon asked the crowd to raise a toast to ‘a friend of ours who has passed away‘.
