Keep Your Effects!0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:43 pm

A subtle yet widely-suggested addition to Effects has crept into the hotel for Halloween…

Effects, which last only one hour (except for the Credit-bought weekly durations), are often used to make a look more appeasing (such as Habbo stars on stage) or for sneakier Habbos, to cheat in events. Once turned on, the hour’s countdown will not stop, whether you turn the Effect off or not. When entering new rooms, Effects are notorious for switching themselves off without warning, leading to many users not receiving the full effect (geddit?) of their Effect.

At an unconfirmed time (likely the most recent maintenance downtime), the latter downside was removed, as Habbos can now switch rooms and continue to wear the same Effect, rather than have to put it on a second time! Nobody is aware as to why this has happened, but nobody’s going to complain! Many Habbox users are glad that this has been changed, as now-valuable Effects can be utilised for their full duration.

Now you can spook your friends whilst following them from room to room or sing your concert whilst getting mobbed by fans. You can even hover through your favourite mazes!

But what do you think? Will you be anonymously murdering your victims for an hour, rather than 10 minutes? Or does the Ringmaster not entice you into his lair? Tell us your thoughts below, but remember to be logged in!
