Leap Back To Your Childhood!0
By - Posted 20th January, 2017 at 6:02 am Entertainment

Remember being a little carefree child of the 90s? Those times you’d hurry home from school just to watch a favourite cartoon show? Remember those times you just played after school, not worrying about anything? Well, you can reminisce your great childhood (we hope it is great) with this throwback stuff only 90s kids can remember!

Walking the Walkman!

Before mobile phones, tablets, iPod, and all the other gadgets that can play music came to be, there was the mighty pioneer called the Walkman. A Walkman, nerdily speaking, is a small cassette player paired with lightweight headphones. Remember hard pressing those play, pause, stop, forward, and rewind buttons because “soft touch” was not a thing? Back then, someone who owns a Walkman is a famous one within their circle of friends. Portable music may have progressed far from back then, but the Walkman will always walk in our hearts.

Have you recorded your faves?

Back to the time where there is no iTunes, no Spotify, no means of downloading your favourite song, be it Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way, Britney’s Oops I Did It Again or some of those songs only you remember, getting hold of them isn’t easy. So what do you do then? Well, we say you turn on your radios, wait and wait and wait until your jam comes to beat! Recording songs back then wasn’t an easy task; it isn’t as easy as copying and pasting it on your flash drives and plug playing it. Recording takes so much skill, but getting that perfect recording is a big achievement for you, kid!

Mash to the future!

You weren’t born a fortune teller or a psychic. You don’t know clairvoyance or even dream reading, so how do you predict your future, 90s kid? The answer? MASH. Remember drawing those spirals, counting off random numbers you got from the friend who has the pencil of the future and the paper of fate. Well, with this game (Your future determined from a game eh?) you can get information about pretty much everything! Who your husband’s gonna be? (preferably your crush), how much money you’ll have, where you’ll be living, your job, a future car, a pet (hopefully not a Hobo), and even your future kids. With MASH, you can see your future with just a paper and pen.

Have you ever played Tetris?

Before console gaming and online gaming came to be, we all must have experienced owning those pixel video game machines we call the Brick Game. Well, they are called the Brick Games because it has games where you only see bricks, and the most popular one being Tetris. You drop blocks of different shapes, you connect and they disappear. Tetris has been the most addicting game at one point, but even though time passed by, its charisma never dropped down along with the bricks. We all have that point where we rage quit ’cause of a misplaced block right? After all, getting a good Tetris combo made our day.

The 90s may be over, but everything we have experienced will not be forgotten. We may continue what we loved from that period of our lives, we may reminisce our past, while getting along with the present and our future.
