Lion on the Loose0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:42 pm

For people in England, the likely place to see a lion would be in a zoo or on the television, but some people in Essex have reported seeing a lion roaming the streets

This incident was reported to the police, and they said that they will be taking the hunt seriously. They have already had helicopters searching the area, using their heat-seeking technology to try to find the wild cat, but at this time nothing has been found.

Colchester Zoo staff have told police that they believe that the sighting is genuine after seeing images that were taken of the cat. This has led the police to increase their presence in order to reassure local residents. They have encouraged people to go about there day to day business after previously encouraging people to remain indoors.

Rumors as to where the lion could have come from are spreading as Colchester Zoo confirm that all their animals are accounted for, and the most popular of these rumors is that the animal escaped from a local circus, but the exact reasons to why a lion is roaming the streets in Essex is yet to be discovered.

There is also the possibility that these sightings could all be a hoax and that there is no lion, but the police continue to say that they are taking this seriously and will be maintaining the hunt for the stray lion in the upcoming days. Helicopters with armed police officers and zoo staff will also continue to patrol the Essex until the lion is either caught or the matter is considered a hoax.

What do you think about the lion sighting?
