Another to add to the ever-growing list of glitches in Habbo is a strange timescale for Private Messages…
As Sulake have tried to overhaul Habbo, many bugs are appearing, a fact that surprises few. However, nobody would have predicted an error quite like the one in the picture to the right. The new in-client messaging system
has also been affected.
When sending or receiving messages, the system previously said how recently the message was written, for example “30 seconds” or “4 minutes”.
However, the date servers in the hotel seem to be malfunctioning, telling users that every message has been sent 43 years ago. Obviously, Habbo wasn’t open at this time, and there appears to be no connection between Sulake and the year given (which is 1969).
Some Habbox members have suggested alternative reasons for the lengthy display. One believed it to be with a special competition awarding a badge (which was later found to be irrelevant) and another said the proposed rollback may have gone a little too far (42 years and 11 months in fact). What’s definite is that Sulake haven’t announced any reason for this, so we cannot know whether the clocks are broken, or a master plot is slowly being unveiled.
Hint: It’s a 4-digit year!
