Yet again, radical new updates have met the Hotel. This time, the hotel view has had some changes.
Before we start, we’d like to thank xxMATTGxx, our friendly General Manager, for taking this lovely picture of the new default screen as you log on. The most immediate alteration is the actual background image; it has been entirely redesigned. If you can’t quite remember the last temporary artwork, think about the horse quests we recently experienced and a special slider of jumps.
Secondly, on the left, you will find a small white box which informally welcomes you into the Hotel, also telling you the last time you logged in and that they’ve missed you since then. I find the more practical use of this is when attempting the badges for having logged in consecutively for so many days. If you’ve missed a day, you’ll find out first there.
The last of the large changes is a tweet box to the right. All previous tweets posted by the Habbo team will be shown here, which used to be on the Habbo homepage. I myself can’t fathom the real benefit of this, as I never read their tweets, but I’m sure it is very helpful for those who take an interest in Sulake’s social networking.
Another, more subtle edit is the automatic appearance of the Navigator, usually the most used tool on the entire Habbo client. It saves the average user about 3 seconds, but it’s still thoughtful of the team to do that.
