Yesterday Habbo added a new icon onto the client. Minimail, which is like Habbo’s version of email has been used for years to contact Habbo without them actually being online.

 

The new icon means that whenever you receive a Minimail Message, a notification consisting of a red box with a number telling you how many Minimails you have will pop up on the left hand side. It has made the process of sending and receiving Minimails a lot more easier and has brought back the use for them. 

What is Minimail?
Minimail, as I said at the start of my article is Habbo’s Version of an email. To send an Minimail, you used to have to go through the Habbo.com/me page and send it from there. Now you can send it on the Habbo Client by clicking the Icon! Minimail hasn’t been used as much around Habbo recently due to the more popular option of Instant Messages. The up side to Minimail is that you can send a message to a user without them being online, with Instant Messages the user must be online for you to send it. One of the main downsides to Minimail, the same as email is Spam usually caused by Chain Mail Messages.

What are Chain Mail Messages?
Chain Mail is where a user sends a certain message to most of their friends lists prompting them to pass the message on and create a Chain Reaction. Chain Mail could contain messages such as: Send this to 15 friends for a free.. or If you don’t send this to 20 people… If you see these kind of messages, the best thing to do is ignore, report, delete. 

I think Habbo have done a good job here, and I believe that this will be a new start for Minimail. I am personally very happy with this update.
