Cameras, removed from the Hotel years ago, may be making a comeback shortly!
In the past, particularly wealthy Habbos could purchase a camera stand, and the rights to take pictures of their creations, games or even just themselves. The pictures were then saved as photograph Furni, similar to stickie notes (which have survived the test of time) that could be placed on the walls of a room.
The whole system was phased out before the English Merge, with the ability to take new photos removed first. The furniture items are still present in Habbo, known simply as the Camera, but now have no function. As there was no way to capture these beautiful views of the Hotel, slowly the existence of the photographs began to wane, and eventually Habbo removed the use of the furni. However, there are still Photographs located in the Hotel.
Since that time in the distant, ever-expanding history of Habbo, there have always been false rumours of this idea returning, but now, we have strong evidence that it really could be! The picture to the right was taken by Abdicators, and shows the new interface the camera system may have. Also located on the screenshots was a button on the top-right of the client, below the credits, named ‘Take a picture!’. This suggests that the fresh feature has the possibility to be free, or at least not need the physical furni to participate.
