Habbo have revealed they’re releasing a new, great way to access Habbo, ‘Pocket Habbo’.
Pocket Habbo went live earlier this week on the Apple App Store before being removed. The app included a description saying “Download the 100% free Pocket Habbo app to chat with your Habbo Friends”. In the past Sulake had been thinking about releasing Habbo as an on the go app on portable devices, and have said that “the new app Pocket Habbo enables you to send messages also to both friends who are on and offline.“
It was listed on the free apps page on the Apple App Store and could be downloaded on most Apple products such as iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. In the future Habbo might consider adding it to other platforms such as Android and other types of portable devices.
Habbo have also announced they will be selecting ‘kind’ users that deserve to try out the app, I guess they would be called Beta Testers. So if you want to be the 1st to try it out you better start being nice to users.
Parents and critics might be concerned and worried about this new launch because of the incident that happened with Channel 4 a few months ago involving ‘sexual content’. However, Habbo have said that they have been working on their users’ safety and say people have nothing to worry about and that their users’ safety has been put first. Parents could also be concerned by not being able to monitor what their children are doing as they have many more ways to access Habbo without going on the family computer.
The image on the right shows a screenshot of the app, thanks go to Shorty on HabboxForum for posting it!
