Poetic Friday0
By - Posted 19th January, 2018 at 12:00 am

So, for the second edition of Poetic Friday, I would like to share a poem that I entered for a competition.

Unfortunately, it didn’t win, but it got an honourable mention 😀

The poem is about our lack of respect for the life that we don’t understand.

I still encourage anyone with a poem to share to contribute to Poetic Friday and leave your critic in the comment section.

Click read more to read the poem.

Uncharished life

Original author: Gamal

A seed becomes a branch.
The branch will develop a leaf
With the world in its hands.
It grows up to become a majestic tree
With a crown reaching to the sky
And roots growing under the surface.
It is one of nature’s uncharished lives.
It has done nothing to deserve it.
We need wood for our houses,
And paper for our money.
When it falls it is the loudest.
It will never again enjoy a day which is sunny.
