Chinese Factory Replaces 90% of Factory With Robots1
By - Posted 8th February, 2017 at 4:38 pm The Real World

The Changying Precision Technology Company has done something that many of those in the 19th and 20th centuries would have only dreamed of: they’ve replaced 90% of their employees with robots. Read more to see the circumstances!

‌

As a factory that used to be run by 650 human employees, approximately 60 are now needed to get the job done. Soon, the company expects to drop this number to about 20. The company produces mobile phones and as of 2015 uses mostly automated production lines. What is so stunning about this, though? Production has increased to 250% more phones. This is an outstanding increase in development, and any company would want to make the change, should they be able to afford it.

This individual story was just one of many… The rise of the robots will not stop there! Automation is expected to rule entire factories in the coming years, and many are expected to lose their jobs. This brings up another point. There are advantages and disadvantages to the automation, but many Americans are expected to be out of work because of this. Take Amazon for instance: all of the boxes and merchandise in the big warehouses are automatically delivered to those that will package it. There is no human in control of the automation. With the population rising and more Americans needing work, we will definitely see very bad news in terms of the employment rate.

Overall, there are advantages and disadvantages to automation. What do you think about the issue? Let us know in the comments section!

It would be better if they did half of the workers as robots and the other half as humans because it would mean less of the employment loss.
