First it was the driverless cars which made the headlines in 2017 with huge speculation and doubt over safety – this time, it’s driverless motorbikes.
According to reports by Sky News; “The BMW C1 can steer, control its speed and keep itself upright without any human intervention“. The motorcycle is being developed by AutoRd Limited.
Whilst the driverless motorbike is only in prototype phases, it has been said that this technology can be safer as the on-board computer is always “concentrating” and looking out for hazards.
The big question follows the accidents leading to death with driverless cars. Is the world ready to let technology power the way forward or is it best that we be in full control? What are your opinions?
