Mississippi Could Bring Back ‘WHAT?’ For Executions?1
By - Posted 11th February, 2017 at 3:00 pm The Real World

Mississippi could bring back some of the most feared methods of execution in their state. This comes after a very big problem – Lethal injections are failing. Read more to find out what lawmakers are bringing back!

Firing Squad, Gas Chambers, and the Chair.

These are the three methods of execution that the state of Mississippi has voted on, passed by the House on Wednesday, with results of 74-43 which will, soon to come, move to the senate for more debate.

“Why?” – Might you ask?

Lethal injections have recently been the subject of a large debate as the result of failed and delayed executions, sending the victims into what might seems like a reality of the underworld. The symptoms of these failed and delayed injections include: Short, quick gasps for air, heart failure, and severe pain. Lawmakers say they introduced the bill after left-wing radical liberals called the failed lethal injections cruel and unusual punishment. The state of Mississippi has 47 people awaiting the end of life on death row and has been unable to acquire the drugs it needs to go through with the executions because of safety issues.

Each proposed method of execution comes with its own issues. For instance, for a firing squad, the state would need to set regulations to prevent the use of torture. Most people doubt that the Department of Corrections is prepared to make such a decision. Oklahoman officials mentioned that they haven’t established correct protocols in use gas chambers, but they did hear and are considering a company willing to provide mistake-free nitrogen gas chamber executions as a backup to the primary methods of execution.

What do you think? Are these methods of execution necessary? Let us know in the comments section!
