Last night at approximately 20:00 GMT, a gunman opened fire on innocent civilians in the heart of Paris, France. 15 people were murdered at the Le Carillon bar in the rue Alibert, near the Place de la Republique, and then Le Petit Cambodge, just across the road. Shortly after this, 5 people also lost their lives on the terrace of La Casa Nostra pizzeria in rue de la Fontaine au Roi. The Belle Equipe bar saw the death of 19 innocent people and the attack at the Bataclan concert currently stands at 89. The death toll currently stands at 129 with over 350 wounded – there’s nothing to say this won’t still rise. It was an organised attack against not only Paris, not only France, but against humanity. The Islamic State have taken responsibility for the attacks.
This has been covered mainly on our forums and many of our users lived the horror along with the victims, posting updates from many different sources. It’s unfortunately my job as manager to post this news in a collected and professional format, without showing much emotion and only really giving you the facts and figures, which I’ve done. Now, I’ll take this opportunity to make one request for you that have read this: do not spend your time defending anyone, do not spend your time condemning people, for that will advertise those who have committed these atrocious crimes and thats what they want: they want to spread fear. Mourn the dead and stand as one, together for the future – do not forget what has happened, but make it easier for those who have lost loved ones, families and friends to build on what they’ve lost.
My condolences to the family and friends of the people who perished in last nights attacks.
