Trump is furious about the 9th Circuit Court’s ruling on his executive order to ban specific country’s citizens from being able to immigrate to the United States. Read more to learn why!
“SEE YOU IN COURT…!”
These are the words that Trump had to say to the executive order remaining upheld by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals this Thursday. The 3 panel judges in the court all unanimously agreed to uphold the order that a district judge put into place just a few days ago. The Justice Department said that they will be “reviewing the decision and considering its options.” This means that the order could be overturned, but it will most likely go to the Supreme Court – the highest and most powerful court in the United States justice system.
The controversy comes after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that would block a certain number of Muslim countries from being able to immigrate to the United States. In specific, these countries are: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia and Sudan. The temporary ban would last for 90 days until security is sorted out. Such an order would ensure that National Security is at its finest, as the United States have feared for terror attacks in the past few years because it seems to be a common norm at this time.
Democrats are celebrating the recent ruling. In a quote by Interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile, she said, “Let’s be clear: This is a massive blow to the White House. The court upheld that we do not discriminate based on religion. That is what terrorists do, and what terrorists want us to do.”
