Humans, by nature, are social creatures. We like to talk to people to fill time, create relationships, and get to know someone we haven’t met before. With the rise of sites like Facebook, Reddit, and many more, social media use has never been higher and no doubt will continue to grow. These apps have been able to connect people from thousand of miles away, right at the click of a button. Habbo is the same in a sense, but it does so in an atmosphere that those other sites don’t offer…
Habbo connects us through virtual rooms and avatars that embody us, and we use those rooms and avatars to meet new people. Habbo uses its pixel avatars and objects to connect us together as a community. Despite the many activities that might have given Habbo a bad name over the years, it has continued to stick together. That is truly the beauty of social media, the ability to connect people and have the power to keep those connections alive.
A little about myself: Hi, my name is OlympusxGaming but I will also answer to Oly or Olympus. I’m new to the Habbox articles team and I’m excited to start my writing here! I was on Habbo a few years before “the incident” in 2006 and have only recently come back. My name on Habbo is OlympusxGaming, so feel free to add me if you would like to talk or hang out! If you have any questions you can PM them to me on the forums or on Habbo. Hope you all have a great day and hope to see you in the hotel!
