Okay… Let’s begin with, why is it called “The Mandela Effect”?

The Mandela Effect is a term for where a group of people all mis-remember the same detail, event or physicality. It is named after the instance in which a large group of people all shared the same memory that Nelson Mandela died prior to his actual 2013 death, usually some time in the 1980s.

So, why is it such a big deal?

It is the theory that things from the past are changing… dramatically. Whether you are superstitious or not, I can assure you that you will tag on to AT LEAST 1 thing that has been changed in this world. Now, there are many reasons behind these changes. One being alternate universes. An alternate universe is a world – alike to ours, with slight differences. This theory thinks that we have recently collided with an alternate universe and we are starting to see the differences.

Without further ado let’s begin…

1. Blue Rib___  (Hint; Chocolate Brand)

So, British people will be able to finish the subtitle with a click of the finger – Blue Ribbon.

So, I definitely have a memory of a chocolate bar by that name – and so many others do. But suddenly that chocolate bar has disappeared. Well, the name has been changed, you think that’s normal, huh? Well… Old packaging and merchandise that people have memories of it saying “Blue Ribbon” have changed to “Blue Riband”. We have a Sketch of Peoples Memories vs Now.

Like wtf? I remember it being Blue Ribbon…

2. ______ ______ On the wall

Okay, onto the next one!

In sleeping beauty, what did Snow White’s evil stepmother say to the mirror on the wall? “Mirror Mirror”, of course!

We all remember “Mirror Mirror on the wall” right? WRONG. If you watch the original DVD, any YouTube clip or any DVDs something must have changed? It’s changed to “Magic Mirror on the wall”! Creepy, huh?

3. ET _____ _____.

So, we’ve all watched “ET” right? Well, the famous line from ET that everyone remembers is of course “ET Phone Home”.

Everyone knows this and that it is the most well known line of the movie… WRONG! It’s changed to “ET Home Phone”!
