Room Review: Habbo Council Reception0

Habbo Council Reception
Owned by Paulwalla

Introduction

We thought we’d take a stab at reviewing one of the official rooms this week, so we decided to review the “Habbo Council Reception”! From a brief look, we can see that the room’s overall theme matches the current season quite nicely (spring) due to the fantastic range of furniture used. The “help desk area” is clearly noticeable and easily accessible to Habbo Council Staff and users requiring assistance. From a quick glance, I can see a few design cons in this room (such as the randomly placed teddy bear) but that’ll be covered later. Let’s get started with the review!

Design Pros

I adore the cute little house in the corner of the room! At first it looks a bit bland, but then you can see that the clever designing actually makes the piece look quite attractive and rather intriguing. Also, the rock seats placed around the campfires look like a fantastic place to sit down and chat with people (if you’re not busy complaining about an unfair ban). I also find the “help desk area” to be quite simple and not too over-done with furniture, thus making it much easier for users to access that area and much more user-friendly.

The best feature about the room is probably the consistent use of flowers… they simply make the room feel a lot cheerier and much more “spring-like” (not forgetting to mention that they match perfectly with the majority of the room).

Design Cons

Although the room does have quite a good layout overall, there are still a few design errors which can be spotted.

1) A teddy bear has been randomly placed next to the executive teleporters. Now, although it is an incredibly cute piece of furniture, it is still placed in an incredibly random spot compared to the rest of the room. In this case, random is not good.
2) The rollers do not look good! They’re not a necessity and don’t fit in with the rest of the room at all. A simple path made out of marble tiles would look a lot better.

Overall Rating

Overall, I give this room a rating of 9 out of 10! The room has achieved this rating because most of the furniture manages to work in sync with each other and the furniture (e.g. flowers) definitely brightens up the room to make it seem more welcoming. To achieve 10 out of 10, some of the furniture which doesn’t work well in the room (e.g. the rollers) should be removed and replaced with other items related to spring!

I guess this week it’s going to be a massive thank you to the Habbo Council staff for all the work they are doing to sort out unfair bans.
