HELP; it’s not as readily available as it should be for those with Mental Health issues. There are so many adverts, posters, & leaflets offering advice and a listening ear yet when it comes down to someone actually looking for some guidance, no-one seems to want to know; not really…

The doctors simply medicate with pills, friends eventually tire of the constant negativity, and family begin to question why they bother anymore. Yes, send us to counsellors or group therapy, give us some pills to ease the pain – but what is that achieving? It’s not dealing with the issues, only the symptoms.

And that’s where I come in; I want to be able to offer a listening ear, friendly advice, and a shoulder to cry on without an alterior motive. There won’t be a group of us introducing ourselves and sharing our problems, nor will I be asking you how you are feeling today; I offer myself to simply be a human diary that will only respond when appropriate. “Why?” I hear you ask. Well, I believe we are all in the same boat on the same waters, but we’re carrying our own cargo that is individual to us, that is complicated & unique, and something only we can fully understand. Imagine me as an empty cruiser who is willing to carry some of your load; I don’t need to know what’s in it unless you want tell me, I don’t need to know where it came from unless you want to tell me, and I don’t even need to know where it’s going unless you want to tell me but I will help you get there – wherever ‘there’ may be.
Send up the flare when you’re ready; I’ll come and find you.
