Habbo has continued with its annual tradition of giving out a sparkling Christmas badge. Although, when I say annual, I mean annual if we look at the last few years. Anyone can get this badge absolutely free with no grueling effort involved. You simply check into the hotel today (25/12) and you will see a large icy blue announcement telling you to get the badge. After being caressed by this announcement, one can simply click to get the badge. It could not be easier!

Examining this badge now makes me feel as old as Santa himself, with the first one being released in 2006, which I have (alongside my prized Bieber one of course!). In terms of the design and quality of the badge, it is in the form of a present. However, I would argue that it does not compare to the 2006 one. I have highlighted the differences between the two badges within the images on the right. The badge currently has no description or indication which year it is.

Although I may be biased here, views vary greatly. Some say that it is good that Habbo finally decided not to do a remake of the classic Christmas tree badge. However, others aren’t too sure about it. As Santa would say: it’s all a mixed bag!
