Teardrop, Children in Need's new Single!0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:26 pm

Children in Need are releasing yet another timeless single for this year’s show, Teardrop!

So it’s that time of year again where you’re all digging up your spotty eye-patches to show your appreciation for Pudsey Bear, and what better way to celebrate it than with a fabulous new single to get stuck in all your heads?

This year, Children in Need have put together a new group of young singers (and rappers!) that I’m very sure you all have at least heard of!

Those lucky souls are:

  • Labrinth
  • Tinchy Stryder
  • Chipmunk
  • Wretch 32
  • Tulisa

And what do you get when you add up all of those amazing young singers? Children in Need’s new single, Teardrop of course!

What does the Single Mean?
Teardrop is a metaphor, in this case, for human beings. The whole song is a metaphor of life and it could almost be used a chant that you would say whilst meditating. It teaches you to be independent and to rely on yourself, but also to love.. It’s a very complicated song!

So what exactly is Children in Need?
Children in Need is a charity for children who just need help. This can be in any way, ranging from a thirteen year-old girl who has lost her Father, to the thousands

of dying babies in Africa. Each year, Children in Need splits the problemsof children around the world up in to different categories and then give a perc
entage of the money that is donated to that category.

They were

made famous by broadcasting live on BBC Television each year with plenty of entertainment (such as famous singers coming on and singing, small acts of popular television programmes, short clips of what your money will be going towards and live celebrities, usually include Sir Terry Wogan, presenting from different parts of England). The main part of the live filming is always done outside the BBC Television Studios in London and gets very cold!

When is Children in Need?
Children in Need is always on November 18th every year, so don’t miss it!

Can I donate?
Anyone can donate! You can also choose to set up a fundraising event to attract more people, meaning you can make a bigger donation! You then send your cheque in to Children in Need and almost all of your money (depending on rates and boring stuff) is sent to help children who are in need!
