Everyone that I know who follows either beyoncé or JAY-Z was excited to hear this album. It had been released June 16th, 2018 and has already been on my top played albums. I have to say beyoncé is getting fierce with her ability to sing and her variety in the genre that she has blended through! This is a compilation of the two after their separate albums were released in which, Lemonade, was beyoncé’s way of airing her dirty laundry against JAY-Z. It wasn’t long that he released his album, 4:44 which was a direct response for hers.
In this album, you find that there are many subliminal messages through the struggles of their relationship being so public and high-profile. In the song, “APESHIT”, beyoncé had sung “I can’t believe we made it.” I honestly believe it is a reflection of their shaky relationship being so high-profile and always in the spotlight. This album portrays a celebrity couple that is struggling through real life matters that end up being publicized and air due to their status.
Nevertheless, the album is a fantastic set of music that would accompany any setting whether it be cleaning the house or lounging out by the pool. My favourite song from the album would be NICE. It has a unique beat and when it comes down to the lyrics, it has a powerful message.
Have you had a chance to listen to this album? If you have, what do you think of it?
