The Exploration of Titan0
Imagine NASA exploring another moon – Saturn’s moon to be exact, Titan.
Its only mission is to uncover the cloudy liquid ethane and methane that fill the sky. NASA have already sent a probe from Earth to take a look at the planet, however the secrets of the seas remain unpredictable. The submarine would use many scientific tools, cameras, and lights to send ever-so-valuable information back to Earth.
“This submarine study is just the latest of many possibilities considered to explore not onlyTitan, but other planets, which is such a rich environment to explore, in many ways similar to Earth,” said Ralph Lorenz, a space scientist at JHUAPL, the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. The only difference between our submarines here at Earth and scientific submarines is the ability to support the conditions of another planet.
As we learn more and more about our universe, scientists (of course) would like to know more and more. It’s just us! We crave for information. Articles that we see online make me wonder, especially, where we will be in the universe in another 50 years.
