As all Habbo users are aware, trading is a extremely important part of the hotel. Trading can make or break a user or room, and Habbo hotel itself would not exist without this feature. It is because of the vital aspect that trading is that all glitches and errors with the system can have catastrophic results.
One of these catastrophic events has happened today and this has led to both trading and the Habbo exchange being disabled until such time that the trading errors and glitches are fixed. This was because of bugs that included gold bars being sold in the Habbo catalog far cheaper than they should. This glitch led to the Habbo Exchange prices dramatically increasing over a short period of time.
When this bug is fixed and trading is returned to normal, it is unknown to what action that Sulake will take to fix the fallout that has occurred because of the errors.
Personally I believe that the decision to disable trading was a wise one. For trading to be allowed to continue would have been, in my opinion, a terrible mistake as it would be very damaging to the Habbo economy, which is one of the foundations of the Habbo community. Only minor inconvenience will be brought from this disablement, and trade has also began to be restored to the hotel without any notable issue. I believe that Sulake have dealt with this well, and if future incidents are dealt with in a similar way I am sure that Sulake will gain further support from it’s members.
So you have heard what I think, but what are your thoughts on the trading issue?
