Yesterday Habbo released another update for the VIP users of Habbo.com, an enhanced version of the old instant messenger. It not allowes all Habbos to send a private message to any VIP user if they’re offline. Habbo says the reason they are not allowing it to work for normal users is because of the high amount of lag it may cause.
The VIP will receive the message the next time they enter the hotel. Habbo plans to extend this feature to other hotels if all goes well as said by habboprism from the Habbo blog. This feature was suggested by Timestamp on the UserVoice board. It received 67 votes from 20th of September to 24th of November. Here is the suggestion in Timestamp’s words:
“Back in the old habbo, you were able to send messages via the console when the user was offline. However the new console is much better and the way the chat system is more of a messenger, it would still be nice to be able to send an offline message.”
The only problem that users may have with this feature is spam messages being sent by ‘noobs‘. This may lead to dislike of the system and its removal. Although you can always unfriend them, but besides that it seems like another great idea suggested by a Habbo.
