Furni Spotlight – The Petal Patch4
By - Posted 10th January, 2020 at 11:11 pm Habbo

The Petal Patch is an absolute beauty of a furni. It first appeared during 2003 in the UK hotel, and was later released in the catalogue for 14 days at the price of 25 credits. It is today considered a “classic” rare, and a favourite for us old-timers (or should I say Habbo Boomers?)

Within the grass and pretty flowers of the Petal Patch lay some fond Habbo memories. In 2004-2010, the Petal Patch was the foundation of most trade rooms or casinos, as well as many popular rooms including the Habbox Help Desk. In fact, if you Google “Habbo Trade Room” or “Habbo Casino”, you will find a sea of Petal Patches, along with Yukkas, Dicemasters, HC Sofas and Thrones. It was a sign of wealth.

Individually, the Petal Patch cost around 3.5HC in ’06. Yes, that’s right, I valued the Petal Patch in Habbo Club Sofas because THAT is how it was done back then. This was the time when you couldn’t buy or trade coins as furni, and the Market Place didn’t exist. Trading was BIG; trading rooms were BIG. They were always at the top of the navigator with the max 25 Habbos and a floor full of Petal Patches. To put that into perspective, in 2006 a Throne set you back around 20.5 HC.

Interestingly, Habbo Staff once promised that the Petal Patch would never be re-released. They have stuck to their word and I have no doubt they will continue to do so. However they did give us all a fright when they tweeted this:

…and later had to tweet to confirm the chest DID NOT have any Petal Patches. Phew!

So to get hold of one today, you’ll have to trade or buy it on the Market Place. It’s currently selling in the Market Place for an average of 40 credits (correct as at 10th Jan 2020). It’s held this value for a very long time… but I do predict it will increase slightly over the next 12 months purely for sentimental reasons, along with other classic rares due to our anticipated change-over to “Habbo 2020”.

To really appreciate its glory you need quite a few, so it’s a pricey investment, but…

The Petal Patch will forever be an absolute treasure.

Just bought myself 5 more petal patches…?? Thanks for making me feel better about wasting my coins on furni with history than buying those recently overpriced furni such as, the 750c Ice Throne LTD. ?? I was tempted though… ?? Above all that was a great article !!

I’ve never owned one! But it’s true they are pricy because you can’t just have one, you gotta have a whole field of them

I have a couple, I will have to slowly buy more over the the year. Would be awesome to get a whole room!
