Today marked the arrival of the latest Habboween rare: Demon Lord Wings! Another wearable (and therefore perishable) item, let’s take a closer look by hitting that “read more” button.

Wow dem spoops.

Super spoopy, in fact. At first glance it does look pretty cool – it’s small due to the usual pixel constraints, but nicely crafted and both the tendons and membranes are colourable separately which is fab for incorporating it into your outfits.

Now here’s the sticking point that’s proving less popular…

Oooooof yep, it’s a whopping 50c+d – DOUBLE the usual cost of a catalogue rare!

The badge is sort of OK if you like that kind of thing, somewhat misleading considering the proportions though. Personally I never use badges from rares/bundles/whatever anyway so that’s of no consequence to me, but I know there are people out there who care about badge designs and might be a little disappointed here.

More importantly however, look how great my outfit is with the wings on!

Seriously though, I’ve seen a lot of hate for these wings and I think a lot of it stems from the price, but I like them. They appear in the dressing room of your avatar in the necklaces section along with other backpack-type items, and that’s great because it means you can pair them up with some of the nice buyable jackets on offer and don’t have to sacrifice anything particularly important.

It’s worth noting that due to the diminutive size, they DO in fact get completely lost if you attempt to use them with the new witch hair, so keep your locks cropped to show these bad boys off to their fullest.
