Hey Habby people, how you doing? Hope you’re sitting down, because this latest release is causing some heart attacks already. Whack that tasty “read more” button to see why.
Crafting in Habbo is nothing new, and often it’s fairly pricey… but we’ve never seen it quite this extortionate before. Here’s the process:
First, we get ourselves a robot to help us build – at 8c that’s fairly normal, and it’s kinda cool. No problems so far!
Next up, we need to buy a Gacha Machine. This is where it gets interesting, and by interesting I mean hella ‘spensive. These babies are 35c+d EACH, and they’re essentially crackables with 10 variants of “plushy” inside. Easy enough so far, but then we see how many you’ll need in order to make anything.
This is Habbo’s official graphic for how the Tokyo crafting works.
As you can see, you’ll need a minimum of 4 plushies to craft anything – and that’s assuming you get the right combination. 140c+d per item at the absolute minimum. 350c+d (plus a lot of luck) to get the dragon hat.
It costs a LOT. Considering the badges/achievements that come along with crafting these, it’s been calculated that anyone wanting to complete the achievement entirely will have to spend 2800c+d. Yep.
TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED CREDITS AND DIAMONDS.
That’s about £250 GBP ($325 USD) of credits. Crikey.
Luckily for me, none of the clothing really appeals, so I’m not too upset at missing out. Harajuku hair, Harajuku bow, Sakura jacket, the elegantly named “Botface”, Anime hair, and Dragon plushy hat will all remain well away from my inventory unless someone gift me them. Hint hint. But nah, not one I will lose sleep over.
How about you lot? Anything you like in all of this? And does anyone in the universe think these prices are good?
That’s a lot of money which doesn’t seem worth it to me. There’s only one item I would love. The Sakura Jacket 🙂
