Steve Jobs – Six Weeks To Live0
By - Posted 4th July, 2015 at 9:08 pm

Steve JobsToday held a shocking announcement for tech-geeks all over the world today, that CEO of computing giants Apple, Steve Jobs, potentially has only six weeks left to live.

Jobs has been suffering from a rare form of pancreatic cancer for about seven years, and last month he was granted medical leave by the board of directors at Apple so he could focus on his health, that had suddenly made a turn for the worse. Despite his absence, he has shown his passion for the company by still regularly turning up at the head offices in California, and still making the key decisions from home.

The businessman was recently photographed looking less than his usual self due to the effects of his devastating illness. He had reportedly lost approximately 45 pounds, and he was looking “painfully frail and weak“, with his hair showing signs of thinning due to chemotherapy used to treat the illness. The photos are not publicly available.

“Judging from the photos, he is close to terminal.” said critical care physician Samuel Jacobson. “I would say he has six weeks.”

The 55-year-old who is responsible for bringing the world such innovative products such as the iPod, iPhone and recently released iPad has received widespread support from followers, wishing him well in this extremely difficult and upsetting time.

I certainly hope Steve can recover from this horrible disease. He is an inspirational man who has worked hard to where he has got, and if the worse does come to worse he will never be forgotten in the technology world.

Rihanna told to ‘tone down’ Performance at Brit Awards!0
By - Posted at 9:08 pm

She’s not a happy lady after having to soften her performance of ‘S&M’ at the Brits.
The cover for Rihanna's single, 'S&M'.We all know Rihanna, she first burst onto our screens in 2005 with her debut album, ‘Music of the Sun’. At the tender age of 17, she was the perfect role model for the young girls of today. Back then she wasn’t very popular, but became more known when she released her Worldwide Number 1 song, Umbrella. Some may say the rest is history, but after that she began her dramatic transformation into the music sensation we see today. Even winning the record for being the first female artist to have 5 number 1 singles in the UK.
More recently she released her new single ‘S&M’, which has caused controversy worldwide. The song is banned on Radio 1, as people believe the lyrics are too vulgar. Whereas the video is banned in 11 countries, as it’s too raunchy for the public. However, this hasn’t affected its popularity, as the song is already at number 20 in the UK downloads chart, despite being ahead of its release.
But the single is still causing problems for poor Rihanna as she’s been told by the bosses of the Brits to change some of the lyrics ahead of her performance at London’s o2 Arena this Tuesday. The planned performance was said to be ‘eye-popping’ but now the bosses are worried she may not perform ‘S&M’ at all and may instead go for a more family friendly song. This isn’t the first time Rihanna’s performances have been a subject of controversy, last year she angered viewers on the X Factor with her performance of ‘What’s My Name’.
Do you think Rihanna will perform ‘S&M’ this Tuesday? If not, what song would you be happy to see her perform instead?

Beyonce at Glastonbury0
By - Posted at 9:08 pm

BeyonceThe famous Beyonce will be appearing at Glastonbury in June 2011.

Beyonces label company; Columbia Records have announced that Beyonce Knowles will be one of the headline acts at this year’s Glastonbury festival. The US star will perform on the last day of the event, held at Pilton in Somerset, on the Pyramid Stage, Columbia have revealed. The 29 year old star is said to be ‘really pumped up’ thinking about performing in front of a huge audience.

She said that Glastonbury really is the biggest music festival in the world and she cannot wait to perform there. Organisers of the festival, which runs from the 22nd to the 26th of June have not yet officially announced the 2011 line up. Tickets went on sale last October and were completely sold out in about four hours.

In last year’s Glastonbury festival, the headliners included Muse, Stevie Wonder and the Gorillaz, who replaced U2 after they pulled out. Australian singer Kylie Minogue also made a surprise appearance, performing with the Scissor Sisters.

Sources say that Pete Doherty and Carl Barat will reunite in time for Glastonbury and the pair are stated to net plenty of cash if they do decide to reunite for another performance, making a show ‘a good earner’ if they do arrange a get together for the date.

YAY! Beyonce will be at Glastobury, it’s a shame I didn’t get a ticket, wish I did. Beyonce is amazing.

Woman Attacked At Knifepoint0
By - Posted at 9:08 pm

PromenadeA 33 year old woman in Sunderland has been attacked at knifepoint.

Northumbria police have said that a woman has been attacked as she jogged along the seafront in Sunderland.

The 33 year old woman was on the promenade at Seaburn and went down to the beach after hearing a cry for help at 6.45pm on Friday. She was then assaulted at knifepoint which left her distressed and shaken, but luckily, not needing hospital treatment.

The woman is now being assisted by specially trained officers. Police are carrying out enquiries in the area and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything to contact the police straightaway.

There really should be less of this and I think that people who go round mugging people with knives are just cowards.

For months on end, Lady Gaga’s fans (her ‘Little Monsters’) have been waiting for the release of her brand new single Born This Way. Yesterday, it was finally unveiled, and Gaga is literally on top of the world.Born This Way

With a worldwide radio premiere happening simultaneously across the globe, the internet was buzzing from Twitter to Facebook to forums speculating what it would sound like, and whether it was going to become another smash for the PokerFace singer.

In true Gaga style, in under 24 hours of release it has already broken records. It climbed to the top of the US iTunes chart in a mere three hours, being the only song ever to do so. It also was the most played song on US radio in one day in history, being played a huge 2,445 times, destroying the previous record held by Britney Spears’ Hold It Against Me, which hit 619 plays. This has nicely set up Born This Way to be a huge contender to get the 1000th number one on the US singles chart this week.

Last but definitely not least, it is the only song ever to chart at number one at the same time on every single iTunes chart across the world in existence. All in less than a day!

Despite the song’s record breaking chart performance, reviews of the single have been somewhat mixed. Fans of the performer and many critics raved about the single, while a lot of people claimed it was simply a rip off of Madonna’s 1989 hit Express Yourself. There are definitely similarities!

While there are obvious similarities to Express Yourself, I don’t see why people use that as a reason to dislike Born This Way. I’m pretty sure Gaga didn’t go out of her way to copy Madonna, and as long as her fans are happy I would wager she doesn’t care either!

It’s certainly not her best single, but I find the song growing on me with every listen! What are your thoughts on the song?
